D.C.C.C. Meets every Monday after school. And a group of
adults walk them from the school to the church. When they arrive they all
are given something to eat. then they all take turns by grade levels and
receive a bible lesson, music lesson, craft time, and some even get to play
basketball.
D.C.C.C. started with a small group 15 years ago. And through
the years it has kept growing. We are so Bless with how many children come.
But we are very blessed with all the help that shows up to do the many
things needed with about 70 -100 children.
D.C.C.C. performs 2 musicals a year. one at
Christmas time. And than another musical in the spring just before school is
finished for summer vacation. Than we return the end of Aug. to start things
up for the school year again. D.C.C.C. is grade 2nd through 6th.

APRIL 20TH 2008 THE D.C.C.C. PERFORMED THEIR SPRING MUSICAL CALLED
PIRATES OF THE I DON'T CARE-IBEAN. THEY WENT ON A MAGICAL TRIP TO PNC PARK
AND WATCHED THE PIRATES PLAY BALL AND ENDED UP ON A ISLAND CALLED JOHNNY
BAY. BUT FINALLY THEY MADE THEIR WAY BACK TO PITTSBURGH PNC PARK WITH A
LESSON WELL LEARNED.
THE D.C.C.C. STAFF WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PARENTS AND
GUARDIANS FOR LETTING US SPEND 2 HOURS A WEEK TEACHING YOUR CHILD. MANY
CHILDREN COME BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE LESSON, CRAFT, OR THE MUSIC. BUT AT THE
END OF THE DAY THE STAFF WALK AWAY TOUCHED BY THE KIDS ALSO. THEY KEEP US ON
OUR TOES LEARNING.
THERE IS ROOM ALWAYS FOR MORE CHILDREN GRADES 2ND
THROUGH 6TH BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A NEED FOR MORE ADULTS ALSO. PLEASE IF YOU
WOULD LIKE TO COME AND WATCH OR HELP JUST COME TO DAYTON METHODIST CHURCH
EVERY MONDAY IF THERE IS SCHOOL. SOME ADULTS ARE EVEN AT THE CHURCH AT 2:30
GETTING SNACKS PREPARED. WE WILL WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS.
